You do not need all of this to start. The more of it you send, the faster a real number comes back, and the fewer follow-up questions you get.
For a Home, Condo or Second Home Quote
- The property address, and whether you live there full time, part of the year, or not at all yet
- Year built and approximate square footage (the county property appraiser has both)
- The year the roof was last replaced, and the roof material. Florida carriers look closely at both
- Any recent 4-point or wind mitigation inspection report
- Your current declarations page, if you have one
- Any non-renewal or cancellation letter, if one arrived
- For a condo: the association's name, so its master policy can be checked
For Flood
- The flood zone if you know it (the FEMA Flood Map Service Center shows it), and any elevation certificate from the seller or your lender
- Whether a lender requires flood coverage, and the closing date
For an Auto Quote
- Every driver: name, date of birth, license number
- Every vehicle: year, make, model and VIN
- The garaging address, because where the car is kept generally affects the rate
- Current limits, or your declarations page
- Any recent tickets, at-fault accidents or coverage lapses
